A Country Inspired Bench . . .

I made this bench a few weeks ago. I gave it a weathered look, because I couldn't think of anything else to do to it. If I painted it in colors it would tend to look kind of circusy rather than country. My daughter put the seal coat on it and she said she didn't care for the bench. Oh well, you cannot satisfy everyone.

Hi Bob, I was wandering through some quilt blogs, found your daughters, and came over for a visit. I like the bench. It is something that my sister would like as well.

PS I have added you to my blog and will "check in" with you on occasion!

Your daughter pointed me in your blogs direction. You are very talented @ woodwork! Not many people have the patience to do this anymore. My brother made me some pieces when I was a child and I still cherish them.

I know my daughter would love it...she takes many wood items and paints them to her liking and amazes me.

It's the QUALITY that counts..let the buyer do at will. I'm like Valerie..I tend to love the artwork you do...so that was a COMPLIMENT from her!

Some shabby/country have their own unique look as well. Depends on where one uses it..so this would be PERFECT I'm sure in the right place with the right person!!

Great work!
